Solicitor Retraining Scheme

Lawstop, a dynamic law firm with offices nationwide, have an exciting opportunity for a number of talented lawyers looking to retrain to join our team. We can offer flexible positions in Housing, Community Care, Public and Education law. Solicitors will receive extensive training and support from our team.

The retraining programme is open to solicitors from all fields who are passionate about social justice. At Lawstop, we are dedicated advocates for individuals and their families with housing, social care, health and educational needs.  Some recent exciting challenges include R(Ncube) v Brighton and Hove City Council (2021) EWHC 578 (Admin)Uduezue v Bexley LBC (2023) EWCA Civ 322, R (Cort) v. London Borough of Lambeth [2022] EWHC 1085 (Admin)We hold legal aid contracts around the country, but also undertake private work. 

This role will suit an experienced and self-motivated individual with excellent communication and drafting skills. You will be highly organised, resilient and work well under pressure. Patience and tact are necessary as you will be assisting vulnerable people whose welfare is our priority.

Solicitor Vacancies  - Housing, Education, Community Care

Lawstop is seeking dynamic solicitors to join our legal aid practice to be based in our London or Brighton offices, or remotely. The successful candidates will have good knowledge and experience relating to the area of law.

We require self-motivated individuals with excellent communication and written skills. You will be highly organised, able to manage a varied workload and work well under pressure. Patience and tact are necessary as you will be assisting vulnerable people whose welfare is our priority. Sound knowledge of legal aid funding is required.

As a solicitor joining our friendly and expanding firm, we will provide support and on-going training; however, you must have enough experience to hit the ground running.

We are a versatile and adaptive practice with a unique approach to the delivery of legal services. We work hard to achieve the best results for our clients.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
